What's your Name?

All my personal information is in the (( About )) section, Check it to answer your question.
For lazy people, I'm Sherry and Drovan is my Nick and Pen name.
You may find Drovan Klavier in many of my arts.
This was a long name but now it's DROVAN.

Are all these Drawings for you?

To make it short, YES. All the drawings you find here or in my socials are mine.
Check the description with my signature and logo on my Arts as a watermark.
Seriously! I'm not sure why people keep on asking this question
but I keep getting this question all the time. :/

How did you learn and choose drawing?

We all the know usual answer which is:

" I draw a lot and keep practising whenever I can besides

learning the basics such as Anatomy, Perspectives, etc... "

But people find it weird or even feel like we're just telling lies! :/

Listen Carefully,

Nothing in life will easily come for you.

You need to feel a great desire and passion for art in general.

After that, you have to believe that you really can reach high levels

and that you want to build good skills in drawing.

And always keep in your mind that failure is not the end of the world.

It's good to fail so you can learn and move on.

So, for me, it's been more than 10 years since I had decided to choose drawing,

especially after a contest in my primary school, in which I was so

amazed by the great pieces of art that were participating.

Since that day, I had decided to participate in whatever contest I can,

even if I may not win, actually I had failed in many

but I didn't regret any of them because they were a great experience for me

to be one step closer to my goals.

And even, for now, I'm still building my skills and participating in many different contests.

I didn't even win any but I'm happy with my results

because it's a great addition to my skills as a self-taught artist.

On the other hand, I used to hear the worst criticism and rarely good compliments

except for recent times because I have improved.

So, if you want to benefit from the comments,

try to check the worst before the good ones.

And try to take your friend's comments and focus on the expert's comments.

Hope this will answer your question and make you believe in keep drawing

because it will take time 'till you can reach your wanted level.

Believe in yourself and make sure you want to draw.

Get your pencil and a piece of whatever paper you have and start your piece of art

because skills are more important than having a great art supply for now.

Otherwise, don't waste your time and try to find your true passion.

Have you ever taken an Art lesson?
And what about your Piano?

No. Except for what we had in primary school if these are considered as a lesson. xD

All I used was YouTube, as a great source and reference for me and following many artists,

to learn by observing their steps, so I can create my own way of drawing and my own style.

The only book I got was

" Manga in Theory and Practice: The Craft of Creating Manga " for Hirohiko Araki

which was a great source for developing and understanding my weakness and to

figure out what I was really missing in my stories.

I recommend it for those who want to start creating their own stories and Manga.

For my Piano, as I said before,

it was an intermittent effort for 12 years since my childhood.

But I didn't go to a musical institute or even tried to!

I prefer self-learning, so I used many applications, but the one that

I really benefit from it was YOUSICIAN, Thank you for your great efforts and app.

I used to play by ear but now I can read the Musical Notes. 🎶

So, most of my skills are self-taught besides my Mom Huge Support for sure ❤

What do use for Drawing?

I have summarised this question in the ( About ) section.

So, here is the copy-paste answer xD

Styles:  Anime & Manga, Semi-real style, Chibi and Cartoon

Traditional Tools:  Pencils, Canson, Manga Nib, Prisma colours, Koi Watercolour and White gel pen.
Digital Tools:  Wacom Cintiq Companion 1st Generation, Bamboo pen, LG Laptop.
Programs:  PS CC, CS-EX, Medibang Pro, Sai, and sketchbook.

Seriously! How do you Manage between being a Doctor, Artist, and Pianist!?
Sorry, but I can't believe that.

Hahaha! Neither do I xD

This was one of my favourite questions that I liked most of the FAQ questions.

But what if I told you I'm adding a Guitar and Violin to my skills collection xD

This will make me like I'm joking but it's up to you either to believe it or not.

Well, to be honest, it's really HARD to have all these skills, especially as a self-taught but it's not impossible.

Yep, with time managing and being very strict with your time and follow what you really want to do and achieve.

And not because both are a different world so some may overlap on another one, Not at all,

but it depends on how you will organize their needed time,

even if it's so difficult, you could merge them in a good way

to make them co-operate in a useful way.

You will figure your own way if you really want to keep on.

If you want to achieve something you have to make a lot of sacrifices to aid your dream.

I had started with Piano and Drawing in my childhood

but I couldn't keep on because of my studies

and had to stop in middle school.

After that, I had to keep on stopping 'till I finished University.

It's been intermittent work over a period of 12 years

since I drew or even touched a true piano,

but I kept on using the mobile apps that had helped somehow,

but to be honest, they were not even a match

for true piano feelings or a true drawing,

because nothing can be compared

to the true passion for music or art!

But we're never too old to set a new goal or to dream of a new one.

Just never give up even if it fills with huge gaps.

In the end, you will go back to your dreams and true passions.

You have Said you like to participate in every contest you find,
what are these contests and have you ever win one?

Nope! the only victory I had achieved is a great experience.
And the only contest that I'm sure the judges know me well
for my entries in the Silent Manga Audition "SMAC",
I had been participating for 3 years and a half and never got bored.
To be honest I got one. :3
Also, an old one for the shounen jump and one for Medibang.
Others are local ones in Sudan.

Have you ever tried to judge art?

For sure! And I'm also known for my non-merciful criticism and comments.
Some may think it's harsh and others had hated me for that,
but this is better than lying to you and making you happy for a weak piece of art!
I'm with creativity not just copying and making people happy with wow comments!
And I'm one of the permanent judges in one of the local artist contests.
I'm not telling the name. hehehe!

Do you believe that great art supplies will make a great artist?

Of Course not! I believe in Passion, skills and hard-working people as mandatory needs

because what benefit will you gain from a good supply with no talent, background or even

knowledge on how to create your own work?

So, focus on improving yourself and your skills then you will know for sure what supplies

you totally need to create your own Art.

What about your own Manga and Projects?

My Own Projects are mainly 4 but the only focused one is

"Reivianna" which I'm working on in a slow temper.

I have published it on my previous site besides other comic sites.

But for Le Ruban, Moon Phoenix and Divorce Wedding

will be only a one-shot and will be exclusively published on my website only.

But not any soon because they are one-shots or short stories.

Ah, don't forget my SMAC stories or Silent Manga Projects

that I'm SO Proud of them because you can see the big differences

from the first entry to the recent one 😎

All I'm hoping for is to achieve my dream of completing My Dagonia

besides others and to win the SMAC Competition one day.

Will you translate your projects into other languages? I mean to Arabic?

I would like to translate to others like French and German but not for now.
Unfortunately, I will not repeat the same mistake for the Arabic translation,
because I had tried it with the previous version and there was a weak response,
not like the English one which had a good response,
even I couldn't believe it!.
And I will invest in the ones that got a great response from the readers.
I'm sorry again, but seriously, nowadays who can't speak English!

I guess these are the most commonly asked questions that I have received till now.

Any further questions will be added here in the future.

I hope you got your answers.
